080411 -- Late Night, Get Me Some Soda
Aug. 5th, 2011 03:42 amA night full of relaxation is in store. Going to watch some Usagi Drop and Mawaru Penguindrum. I've liked both of these series so far. Usagi (Bunny) Drop is cute and slow paced; it's really a strange topic for an anime, I suppose, but I love the background music. Liked the second episode way better than the first.
As for Mawaru (Spinning) Penguindrum, watch below:
I know there are no subs, but no subs are needed. All you need to know is the two guys are brothers and the girl is SUPPOSED to be their sister (but she's not at the moment). It reminds me of Panty and Stocking, not in sexiness but on how off the wall it is. XD
So today was the Zanesville Has Talent auditions, and I think I did really good. It introduced me to the Amp energy drink, which is awesome except it makes me have to use the bathroom a lot. I was pretty nervous about my song, considering I hadn't actually had time to put the darn thing together yet. Oops. O.o But the music is really easy to figure out, and I already had a color map for it in my head. The lyrics I was a bit scared of, and I kind of took the song at my own flowing tempo to match. Everybody was super-friendly. I forgot how awesome performing feels. Maybe I'm a dork.
I got the Usagi Drop soundtrack online. LOVE. Favorite tracks: Wakare 2 and Yorokobi.
Also reading Shinkuro online, gonna catch up so I can read the last volume tonight (got it from Waldens). Tonight is going to be fun~ Gosh I want this dress. I can see it in my mind's eye. Perhaps I should try to sew it sometime.
